Great Expectations (2012)

Filmmaker Mike Newell adapts Charles Dickens's classic 19th-century work that chronicles an orphan (Jeremy Irvine) who learns he has an unknown benefactor and sets off to London. With a screenplay adaptation by David Nicholls, this sterling interpretation features an all-star cast that includes Academy Award-nominees Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter as Magwitch and Miss Havesham, respectively. Also starring Sally Hawkins and Holliday Grainger.
