About this movie

Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski, played by George Clooney. On a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone - tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth...and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

Krist almity was this movie bad. It felt like I was watching an hour and a half long trailer. There's absolutely no story, no development, nothing. Just a mind-numbing sequence of CGI effects going nowhere. The effects were actually pretty good but the movie was so bad and boringly pointless there was no value to them either. And that ridiculous chain of events, I didn't know whether to laugh or groan. I won't pretend to know anything about space or science but this was some lazy-ass script writing.

This movie is so inaccurate. Space has no molecules for sound to travel through. She would have died so many times from all the mistakes she made and to top it all off, she panics 24\7. Trained astronauts do not panic like she did. The acting was moderate, script was terrible and the characters are bland, I didn't feel any connection to Sandra's character. The CGI was the only decent thing about this movie.

This must the worse movie I have ever paid to see in a theatre. Not even the fake CGI graphics of space and the spinning globe earth could save this movie. If you want to see a 40 something year old woman gasping for air and crying for 2 hours then this is for you. Seriously..that is 99% of this movie. Sandra Bullock having a mental breakdown. EPIC Fail. F-
