Godzilla (2014)

Found this boring and disjointed. None of the characters were engaging and I couldn't find the energy to care what happened to any of them - much like the Japanese bloke couldn't be bothered acting. The giant monsters demonstrated implausible interest in ant-sized humans, while those same humans couldn't seem to decide who to barrack for and who to nuke. I can only assume that if you're a fan of this genre the raw stupidity of it all won't matter.

I loved the way Godzilla looked (even if he did only appear for 15 minutes of the movie runtime). What I hated about this movie, is the fact that every time there was some fairly decent action coming in, the camera cut away to show us a character we couldn't easily relate to, sympathise with etc. The film was to focused on the military and less on Godzilla and the other nameless jurassic creatures.

All that waiting and hardly any screen time to who we came to see Godzilla! The one relationship I could've given a toss about they ruin. Wanted to walk out but kept hoping it would redeem itself, no such luck.
