About this movie

In the animated comedy adventure "Gnomeo & Juliet," Shakespeare's revered tale gets a comical, off-the-wall-makeover. Directed by Kelly Asbury and showcasing both classic and original songs by Elton John, the film features the voices of James McAvoy and Emily Blunt as Gnomeo and Juliet, who have as many obstacles to overcome as their quasi namesakes when they are caught up in a feud between neighbors. But with a plastic pink flamingo and thrilling lawnmower races in the mix, can this young couple find lasting happiness?

In my opinion, it was a mediocre piece. It shouldn't have focused on the lousy war between just two, TWO Flipping tiny gardens that look like they could stick them in a mailbox or about a stupid lawn mower that they just happen to buy from their clueless owner so they can (unrealistically) wreck fences and add more insult to injury. The jokes did make me snicker and there were nice characters.

They made it for kids, it's a kids movie they made it so it doesn't suck for anyone else it's worth watching but there are so many better options out there. But all around it's a pretty great movie with plot points that are cliche but done well enough to stick in your head for literally 5 years after you watched for the first time. It fricken sucked
