I came for the sets and costumes designed by Cecil Beaton. The film is a lush fantasy, well acted and fun...but. Well, i could be negative but it does shoe Gaston realizing that Gigi was not something to play with and that the traditions of the demimonde would only end in destroying her. He had to get over himself and keep going backuntil he got it right. Still... this is like Pretty Woman. Yes it's funand funny, but the underlying truth of the story is sad.

What a classic. I really like this one. I'm not crazy about a full grown playboy taking a young innocent girl for his own; HOWEVER it shows how a relationship can be a a good one and develop even more into a stronger one because a man and woman are FIRST truly friends without the sex. Crazy how cultures manipulate in the social scenes. The man knew what to do. And Gigi didn't even have to ask him "Where my ring at?". Nice musical.

Creepy, out dated. Needs to go along with the Song of the South as movies that are never watched again. Could imagine if an older man song "Thank heaven for little boys?
