This was a bigot who's true cause was hidden. He supported the caste system in India and despised anyone who was of African in origin. He's been quoted many times calling South Africans the N word. What a hypocrite!!!!!!!

The movie does a great job summarizing the life of a man that helped create nations. In the beginning of the movie he is shown fighting racial prejudice in South Africa as a victim. After his victory there, he just goes to India. It was not real clear exactly why, but I would assume he had heard of the injustices. The movie does leave out a lot; I think, but to tell such a story as this is a grand undertaking. The absolute principle and humility of the man to me shines through the screen. I definitely know more about Gandhi now.
