G.I. Joe: Retaliation

All over the place plot. Any break in the drama is simply filled with assassins, ambushes, gun fights and high-tech weapons mayhem. Now don't get me wrong... I like that sort of film making! The first GI Joe nailed that formula. The pork blemishes here is that the film then tried too hard to add some depth to the story, and that depth just ends up sinking into silliness, despite some good casting and acting (of sorts.) In short, a good flick with lots of beer and pretzels. Not do good if sober.

Watch it with two of my friends. This movie took away the mecha-suits of the first movie and replace them with modern weapons so it kind of disappoints those who watched the first film. The movie still gave intense actions and who doesn't love Dwayne Johnson?

This is a movie that should not have been made. Bad story, bad script. The acting was good from the Rock but he had nothing to work with.
