About this movie

In this sequel to WESTWORLD, two reporters are invited to Futureworld, a 'Disneyesque' resort for adults, to see what changes have been made since the early model robots went haywire and killed some guests. Once there, they discover a grandiose scheme to replace the leaders of the world's most powerful nations with robot clones.

Decent sci-fi, but nowhere near the first film "Westworld". I could tell Michael Crichton wasn't involved. The story is not well paced. The film is filled with several scenes that do absolutely nothing to progress the characters or the plot. This could've been such a great film - begin the story more slowly so we invest in the two main characters & understand why they dislike one another! Simple, right? No, let's just get them into the park asap, forget developing characters. Bad storytelling.

Decent enough sequel to Westworld. If you are looking for a great sequel to the iconic original then you might be out of luck. Yul Brynner plays second to almost no fiddle to Peter Fonda & Blythe Danner. Too much talking not enough action. Half the charm of the original was Brynner's Gunslinger who is sadly almost absent. Would only recommend it if you really liked Westworld.
