About this movie

April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

It was overly fake. A handful of men killing a thousand "dumb" enemies. Not at all plausible/just stupid. An "Arnold" 80s movie. All of the combat scenes were this. May have been an interesting movie without the combat scenes (the meal scene (with better context- wouldve been great). Watch a film like "Restrepo" and then this. See what you feel after that. The combat scenes made this a video game movie for 8 year olds. I regret purchasing it. This does no honor to the people who lived that war, nor viewers.

I recommend this movie to everyone. War is hell and Fury really tries to bring it home. Maybe the plot is a bit thin, but the characters are slightly above average in their construction, lead by the push and pull relationship of Logan Lerman and Brad Pitt. Action is excellent without being cartoonish... not too much shakey cam at the important bits.

If you want War Movies check out Oliver Stone's PLATOON, Stanley Kubric's FULL METAL JACKET or WWII film by Stephen Spielberg SAVING PRIVATE RYAN. I can't possibly rank this movie next to those movies. It was interesting but hardly a "GREAT" as many suggest. Personally PLATOON is the greatest war movie I have ever seen.
