About this movie

It's spine-tingling horror in a whole new dimension as Friday the 13th Part 3-3D: Deluxe Edition comes to DVD! A carefree summer becomes a deadly nightmare for another group of naïve counselors who choose to ignore Camp Crystal Lake's gruesome legacy. They find themselves in a bloody game of cat-and-mouse with the maniacal Jason who stalks their every move...and ruthlessly kills them off one-by-one.

Part 3 is quite simply put, a terrible movie. The entire budget went into cheap gimmicky 3D, which really shows when you get a taste of the absolute awful acting. I mean it's laughable how terrible the "talent" in this film was, even to today's low standards. The plot was rushed and lazy with nearly zero character development. Jason's portrayal was horrendous with our iconic killer fumbling around like a clumsy fool. 2 Stars simply because it's worth watching atleast once, if you're a fan of the series.

Most people giving this movie a bad review appear not to be fans of the franchise as a whole; and should therefore be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. It's not the MOST enjoyable of the series, and some of the effects are less than stellar. But it's a solid entry to the Jason mythos (this is where he gets his MASK, folks!), the kills are interesting, and the obvious 3D moments are charming and welcome bits of levity, in this gory 80's slasher.

Okay, now there's this movie. I have no problem with this movie other than the terrible acting and dialogue done with each character. The decisions they make are so stupid and it's like they want to be killed. The thing that saves this movie is the kills. I like the kills in this movie a lot. Not as much as in Part II, but still enjoyable. The story is also pretty by the numbers. This movie is where Jason got his iconic hokey mask so that's gotta count for something! (C+)
