About this movie

From Disney and creative genius Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland, The Nightmare Before Christmas) comes the hilarious and offbeat Frankenweenie, a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life — with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous. Frankenweenie is alive with enchanting fun for the whole family.

I cannot justify letting kids see such a movie. It is dark, in poor taste, and puts disturbing ideas and images in one's mind. A sewn up dead dog, zapping a dead animal in school, cadaverous human characters - sick. Frankenstein was nothing like Wenie. Frank' is a social/life values commentary, versus farce n gallows humor in Wenie.

It could be better, but still a really good movie. It may be because I'm just into it, but the black and white ascetic is perfect and I love the references to other great monster movies (Frankenstein, Godzilla, etc.). Some of the most perfectly blended heartwarming and terrifying storytelling I've personally seen. It didn't hit as close to home as some of Tim's other movies, but still highly recommended by me.

My real names Natalie and I'm 11 this movie scared and cryed the heck out of me as an extreme animal lover this movie was just wrong for me when sparky got hit by the car and victor cryed out "Sparky NO" I was cying so hard and you really shoudnt mess with things that are dead it always ends up bad but what was the point in this movie other than to make animal lovers bawl their eyes out
