Forever My Girl

I see there's a 1 star review that says this movie is corny and cliched. Well, I agree that it's corny and cliched, but am giving it 4 stars. Why? Well, this moving is what it is... it's definitely not groundbreaking cinema that subverts the regular tropes, with subtext addressing the social issues of our times. It's a well made feel good romantic movie and doesn't pretend to be anything else. It's got all the usually elements... two people who are destined to be together but separated by circumstances or betrayal... the sassy "wise beyond her years" daughter who calls the adults on their bullsh*t... and the usual cast of supporting characters. They work their way through variations of the usual trials and tribulations towards the inevitable happy ending. If that's not the sort of movie you're after, watch something else. If you want to escape our rather dire world for an hour and a half and watch likable characters, safe in the knowledge that it's all going to work out in the end then this is a good choice.

I loved it because it made me sit on the edge of my seat at all times. It is witty yet seems real, loved it. Watch it if you want a light-hearted comedy with a bit of twist.

Truly awful. Corny, cliched, contrived. No plot, not even a decent track anywhere on the soundtrack.
