Flight

This movie is a bit like the flight and crash itself: starts off rough, dives out of control, flips upside down and then crashes somewhere you don't expect. The marketing department didn't do their homework on this one. The hook is not the "miraculous landing", it's in the fact that this movie takes a long honest look at addiction.

If you are into pointless nudity, then there's one scene you'll really enjoy. If, however, you were hoping for something fastpaced, deep and dramatic, you are bound to be very disappointed. I LOVE Denzel Washington but he couldn't save this festering movie. I don't ask for much in a film but the trailer built me up and had me expecting a lot of exciting action, instead, I found the film very slow and overly long. Condensed, it would have made a wonderful short film.

What this film as demonstrated, aside from the brilliant acting from Denzle (Denzel didn't come up in spell check! :P) Washington, is that it proves alcoholics and sniffin' powder makes these ppl more alert and switched on! ....as per the flight similator recordings of thus 'other' pilots that they simulated to see the outcome well, they all crashed and everyone acutally died..... as a whole, this has been a brilliant filim production, and to those that made it, keep up the great work!
