Just OK. Three stars, because of the ethical nature of the story line, which emphasises the need for both a father and a mother in the rearing of children. If the story-line had matured beyond the obvious attempt to squeeze comedy out of every scene, I would have given it a five. Owen Wilson appears exhausted; diminishing his lengthy use of wit that makes his films stand out from the rest. Cast is broad and well selected, but the road trip "quest" and the ethical issues it addresses, is the thing that keeps this movie moving. All in all, if you can overlook some unnecessarily crass scenes and a little bit of the dialogue, it's worth renting.
