Eyes Wide Shut

What were you expecting. Great story-line with intensity throughout the film. Erotic in a sinister sort of way with a great cast. Only unbelievable scene is the "getting stoned", I don't think Cruise or Kidman ever experienced the real deal, either that or just bad acting. Overall, I'd watch again. Musical score is great. Film, in and of itself is entertaining just don't blink or you'll find yourself looking for the underlying reason for interaction in the dialogue.

I had such high hopes when first seeing this film, I mean when you look at the cast you're expecting something good.well, this wasn't good...at all. In fact, I spent a large part of the film confused and thinking,"why the hell would Tom cruise take a role like this?" The plot was very bizarre(even for me, and I have bizarre tastes), and the whole psychological aspect Kubrick was going for just didn't resonate with me. I just felt this was a completely ridiculous movie.

me parecio una porqueria, en realidad proyecta el lado mas negro del ser humano, que viviendo en la hipocresia, se proyecta en lo mas asquerozo que es el satanismo. El autor pone a Tomas Cruz como una victima y despues lo hace caer en el mas borreguil conformismo de la situacion que vive. Es evidente que los masones iluminati terminan con sacrificios humanos, los cuales disimulan a la perfeccion por ser dueños del poder. Pienso que la pelicula le quedo grande a kubric, el cual en lugar de hacer una historia de misterio con final feliz,hecho al bote de la basura al humano como prototipo de ser pensante que puede controlar sus instintos. Tambien pienso que la musica que puso tan obsesiva y los cantos terroreificos oscuros subliminales, le dieron un ambiente de inquietud y deseo a la gente comun, sobretodo a los jovenes. Lo unico mejor que ha hecho kubric es la pelicula el replandor en la cual sobresale el genero de terror y practicamente anula el aspecto cientifico o de investigacion documental. Pienso que este hombre era un enfermo mental, porque todas sus peliculas estan llenas de ironia y o sexo en lugar de genialidad recreativa. Y tal vez como en naranja mecanica o esta pelicula tenia un fuerte trauma por el sexo el cual proyecta en ellas, dañando con esto a la juventud y algunos adultos susceptibles.
