About this movie

An intense psychological thriller, from acclaimed writer/director Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Sunshine), EX MACHINA is a chilling vision of the not-too-distant future of artificial intelligence. In the mountain retreat of a gifted internet billionaire, a young man takes part in a strange experiment: testing an artificial intelligence, housed in the body of a beautiful robot girl. But the experiment twists into a dark psychological battle - a love triangle, where loyalties are torn between man and machine. (Original Title - Ex Machina) - 2014 Universal, Film4 and DNA Films. Almost so good.....modern is not all that modern, it felt 90's. It was a thriller that didn't really work, the frightening direction the movie was going was not embraced, maybe, to many casual moments that didn't flow, and trying to miss direct us all the time was annoying, unless they didn't realize how much didn't make sense. The dialogue was lacking, it was weird what that elite nerds talked about in parts , I have heard kids have more intellectual conversations. Although I appreciate a lot of the aspects of the movie, including the tension, overall, especially with the ending, I felt I should have just gone bed early. If a movie makes you think more about the production more then the story and the experience of watching it, then that is disappointing.

Don't expect a fast paced movie, saying that it's a movie that makes you think, one dudes beard & look reminded me of "this is Sparta!" i never really could figure out wether he was the villian or hero to the story. Some really absorbing Scenes. will say i was a little disappointed the way the ending went (won't give it away), it still really made sense the ending but in my opinion i think it could've had a more happy ending but hell ,watch it, it's still a great movie .

Actually felt sorry and happy for the robot Ava, really well acted. Pitty about the rest of the movies direction, it's as if they spent all the money on VFX.... Then realised they had to surround it with a plot. Well worth watching though.
