First and foremost, I watched this Christmas eve by coincidence, and it weirdly hits home about family and love. Fit the night perfect. As for the movie itself, it was good action. Not perfect, very dialogue heavy and monologue-y villains, but good when it was on screen. Characters were pretty good, I really liked the Asian dude near the beginning and Salma Hayek is hot as hell, and a great actress at that. The pacing was a bit off, but was aided by the combination of great visuals and a sense of urgency that added tension. Though having it strung across the whole film wore it kind of thin by the end. It was a compelling plot nonetheless. If you have already seen the raid, the new judge dredd and maybe the man from nowhere and liked those, then watch this, its pretty good and went under the radar. Otherwise, for gods sake go watch those first.

Please Do Not Watch This.... I have a very high tolerance, when it comes to Violent movies; This seemed to go way too far, both Violently and other. I would request my money back, yet, I would gladly take the financial hit just to warn others to not ever view this movie...

It was nice seeing two culters mingle in one movie. but it it's missing something and spent too much time in one place. interesting change in genre for Selma Hayak? but she's better than this role. or was it just the stunts that didn't come off well? I know what it was, I felt too much like I was watching a stage play. A Noir movie makes one feel like a book is being played out in front of them. Noir movies have plenty narration.
