Was more like a semi-romance drama than an action movie like we've come to expect from Marvel. Very slow in places and yeah the whole gay relationship thing didn't add to the story and didn't seem necessary at all. I think they tried to put too much in and in so doing made it drab and boring. A solid "meh" from me.

I very rarely write reviews but this one is an exception, please do not watch this movie, doing literally anything else is better than sitting through two and a half hours of this. And even when it's finally over the TWO end credit scenes manage to make it even worse. I had to pause and mentally comprehend the sheer stupidity of this film too many times to count. Not sure how anyone at marvel greenlighted this. Wish 0 stars was an option.

A fairly average offering. Especially when compared to other titles from Marvel. Constant breaks for narrative exposition routinely halt the story just long enough for any engagement with the characters and their journey to sputter and die. This disjointed plot progression leads to a rather jarring experience that also could've been at least 30 minutes shorter without sacrificing the story.
