This movie was a blast! I loved all facets of it. The costumes, the setting, the direction, the actors. It was hilariously funny and very human at the same time. Yes, of course Emma is a spoiled, almost unbearably pretentious creature, mostly due to her privileged circumstances, but so is she in the novel. It’s very rewarding to watch her change. I think this is a totally authentic cinematic version. And not the least, utterly pleasing esthetically!
