I know I have seen better movie adaptations of the life of Queen Elizabeth I. But it's not bad, and it is better than the Other Boleyn Girl, I will say that for it.

A wonderful representation of historical events and persona. Eloquent, dramatic and on Par with basic history. It's a given that Hollywood may embellish but this film brings a real story to us that we can imagine the life of a rising royal from her coming to her rising. How surreal such a life might be!? This film is tastefully produced and the costumes of its cast are immaculate. Well done!

Historical accuracy plays second fiddle to good story-telling in many places, but it is gorgeously filmed and acted. Cate Blanchett should have won that Oscar!
