You guys have wack comments. Who gives a 🤬 if it reminds u of depression I'm in 8th grade right now. It's a good movie telling kids they actually have a voice and their opinions matter. U don't know cause ur not 13. Pay attention to kids when they talk bc someday you'll get what's coming to ya if u don't.

I love Bo Burnham and all the work he's done over his career, so i was excited to watch his first attempt at a movie. This film is good and depicts 8th grade almost perfectly. It shows how a shy person deals with things and how acting different ways can have different results. My only complaint is i wish there was 15 more minutes at the end to show her being her true self with her true friends. Great movie and i can't wait for more of Bo's work.

The movie was not all that. Most of it was very uncomfortable to watch. It does not really depict the life of an 8th grader, well at least not from when I was in the 8th grade and that much time haven't even gone by since then. She remains the same person throughout the entire movie. I was thinking it would show how she finds her own voice and becomes her own person. Not worth the money.
