About this movie

The epic action of Edge of Tomorrow unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Major William Cage is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski. And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy. 2014 Warner Bros., Village Roadshow Pictures, 3 Arts Entertainment

Hmmm couldv really been a great film but the concept behind it needed more thought to be played out within the time line. If only they pulled it off. You could see where they wanted to go with it but just couldn't get there. Not bad but the potential of the script was never met

Did anyone know this movie was actually based of a Japanese manga called 'All You Need Is Kill'. It's a great movie but some of the events or things dont even relate to the manga. But I suppose that always happens when people try to make mangas or animes into real life movies. For example Dragon Ball or Avatar the Last Air Bender

I rate this better than his other movie Oblivion of around the same time. Still sticks to the typical save the world schtick but adds in time travel and a bit of Aliens for good measure.
