About this movie

The epic action of Edge of Tomorrow unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Major William Cage is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski. And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy. 2014 Warner Bros., Village Roadshow Pictures, 3 Arts Entertainment

Brilliant movie that gets better with time. Blunt in her first action movie is amazing playing the warrior soldier who trains Cruise who plays a coward and the anti hero. Very unique movie and very unique for these two amazing actors who team up very well, a very entertaining movie with the central theme being character development. Very underrated when it first came out due to the title being flimsy but everyone is now realising how such a simple concept - restart of the day like a video game can be turned into such a masterpiece. Hoping for a sequel at some point before Cruise gets too old!

Very clever film. It does the repetitive aspect so well, that it doesn't get boring. In fact, the way it has been edited ads humor to the film, in this otherwise full on sci-fi, alien blasting movie. Although rated M, we will be re-watching it with our 12yr old.

Love the premise - really made me wish I was the main character. Well executed movie - the protagonist quickly figured out what was going on and took advantage of it. They didn't go on and on trying to explain it to the viewer which I hate. TC may be a dbag in real life but I enjoy his movies and acting especially this and Oblivion
