About this movie

From the 1970s thru the 1990s, the hippest and most outrageous comedy in print was the National Lampoon. The groundbreaking humor magazine pushed the limits of taste and acceptability, parodying everything from politics, religion, entertainment and the whole of American lifestyle. The print publication even branched out into successful radio shows, record albums, live stage revues and iconic movies, including Animal House and National Lampoon’s Vacation. The National Lampoon launched the careers of legends like John Belushi, Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Christopher Guest, Gilda Radner and many more.

I loved this movie. It tells the story of how a bunch of young intelligent people changed the world when they didn't even realize they were doing it. Or maybe they did and were just too stoned for too long to recall.

First, why rate a video you say you wont watch because of the cover? Second, its an old gag from before your parents were born. They arent serious. Thats the point. Some people are doomed to lack of pop culture and its timeless humor due to their ignorance they choose to stay in. Your loss. But stop rating things that you havent even tried out first. Its stupid. And it makes you look stupid.

Do you ever wondered what might have gone through the first Lemming's mind as it fell after dropping over the cliff's edge? 'Wasn't there a road here yesterday?" xD It reminded me of a lot of good times blended with the bits of sad. Making fun of our discontent is what the National Lampoon was all about. There was another magazine that I thought was the greatest until I got old enough to massage my endorphin booster.
