A thoughtful film in which every day uncontrollable circumstances cause people to make the wrong decisions with dire consequences. It is a sad portrait of the world we live in where there is so many losers for the few that are successful. This film has Mel Gibson reprising a role he has played before such as in Blood Father, in which his life sacrificed and seems fitting given the choices he has made. A bit unnecessarily gruesome in parts Sees Michael Jai White playing the role of a person who loses everything including his life. It seemed only fitting that the characters that play the psychopaths, end up dead to.

Here we have a story where you get to see everyone's perspective and understand and empathise with the choices they make. Other than the really really bad guys, who's backstory isn't shown. People are complaining this was boring.. ok, it is a little slow. If you want a shoot-em-up action movie maybe give this a pass. The violence is strong though and there are some pretty shocking moments. I liked it.

If your a childish moron with ADHD, don't watch this movie, you'll hate it (and likely let everyone know on every form of social media). It's not perfect, but the 159 mins. flew by. Well worth the rental.
