About this movie

From Marvel comes Doctor Strange, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange, whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place – a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange – armed with newly acquired magical powers – is forced to choose whether to return to his old life or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.

An absolutely pointless film from the Marvel stable, feeding into the Avengers timeline. It took a long time to get going and then dragged before ending unexpectedly leaving me wondering what the point of the previous almost two hours had been. The CGI far outweighed the story line and borrowed too much from films like Inception and the Matrix trilogy. Having said that Benedict Cumberbatch acted his heart out pretending to be Keanu Reeves. IMO this is a film to hire but not purchase

Ok, people like the last guy here's the deal, Dr Strange is way older than Inception or the Matrix so the only thing in common is the special effects, Dr Strange did those ideas first. Saying the CGI out weighs the plot, or like most of the other one stars on here who say the film has no plot....... News flash guys, ITS AN ACTION MOVIE ABOUT PEOPLE WITH SUPER POWERS!!! If your looking for plot don't watch it, go watch Schindler's list or something, how can you slate a film that isn't about plot for having no plot? Guess I'll go watch Schindler's list and leave a bad review because the action scenes are crap!

I don't know if it was because I was in a funny mood this day when I watched it, but this movie just did not sit right with me. It was pretty awful. Dialogue and writing were forced and it felt like things were just tied up in the story line because the producers were just like " ok come on lets finish up and then go for dinner I'm hungry ". Booooooring. ....oh I forgot to add 'contrived' , so utterly utterly 'contrived'.
