Fun film with awesome performances. Tarantino films are not necessarily known for some deep grappling with the plot, they are known for the constant pay-off, great action, delicious dialogue and equally tasty musical score. Watching a Tarantino film is like what I imagine being ravaged by a very high class call girl is like; An amazing time sans any deep personal commitment. You will go on with your life, but you will find yourself reminiscing about that one night in 'CandyLand'.

He has shown that he can make blockbusters. This wild and crazy adventure, although mostly fictitious, is pretty darn accurate to how the antebellum south was in the 1850s. Django is a slave in the south who lost his wife because they were sold to separate owners. Dr. King Schultz, a dentist turned bounty hunter, offers to help Django on this quest to find his lovely wife Broomhilda. This will only be possible if Django becomes a bounty hunter just as Dr. Schultz. Tarantino uses his incredible gift to bring us a great recipe for success in his Oscar winning script. Every scene is filled with tense dialog use, which is sometimes humorous. Each character is scripted perfectly and brings their own flavor to the movie. Obviously, casting was a huge part of that aspect. I love how he used Alabama and other southern states to capture the essence of the south. In the beginning, I loved the music and the way the camera moved. It gave us a view of the whole landscape; which made me feel consumed by the grand scheme of it all. Jonah Hill provides comic relief. DiCaprio's acting was superb; especially since he went out of his comfort zone. All in all, everything was above par.

I love this movie. Despite being an idiot, Tarantino makes good movies. Period. It's a perfect movie from beginning to end, and in only one case do you have to suspend disbelief. Which is, I think they just should have offered $12,000 for his wife. The whole act was unnecessary. If the premise is making an offer so ridiculous that Candy would be forced to say yes, then I think probably $5,000 would have done the trick. Even under the premise of purchasing her for the sole reason that she speaks German. It really was just a tool to further the plot. That being said, the movie is perfect. I think a part 2 could be done, but I'm afraid they'll screw it up. Just saying.
