About this movie

Academy-Award® winner Rachel Weisz (Denial) and Rachel McAdams (Spotlight) star in this spellbinding drama about a woman as she returns to the community that shunned her decades earlier for an attraction to a childhood friend. Once back, their passions reignite as they explore the boundaries of faith and sexuality in this film that critics call "romantic and gripping" (Parade). - ( Original Title - Disobedience )

A good, believable story that was thoroughly enjoyed by myself and some other straight people. The cast delivered impressively. I don't know what's up the rear ends of those who rate movies based off of religious or political beliefs rather than the movies themselves, but hey - ignorance is bliss, right? I'd watch it again, and I'd recommend it to people seeking a good drama, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. Regardless of religious or political affiliation. No matter shoe size, favorite color, or how many kids one has.

I rented this movie because I knew very little about Hasidic life. All I can say now, my heart goes out to Dovid because the rest of it was, well, the movie title sums it up.
