About this movie

When renowned paleontologist Peter Larson and his team from the Black Hills Institute made the world's greatest dinosaur discovery in 1990, they knew it was the find of a lifetime: the largest, most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex ever found. But during a 10-year battle with the U.S. government, powerful museums, Native American tribes and competing paleontologists, they found themselves not only fighting to keep their dinosaur, but fighting for their freedom as well.

Best story ever, I have had the VHS tape, "The rex-files: SUE" for a long time and this VHS tape is still available from the Black Hills Institute. Dinosaur 13 goes into much more detail. Anyone interested in SUE and the story behind her taking by the U.S. Government and 10 years of litigation must see this movie.

Great and moving story about how one person even your best friend can betray you on the best paleontological finds in history. Government and corruption aside, this is an inspirational tale that all paleontologists can relate to. A must see.

This is an outstanding documentary, on the same level as Blackfish. Very well told, the story of this fossil find kept me engaged all the way through to the end.
