DDLJ is hands down one of my favorite movies. To some people this might appear as a typical romance where the mighty hero carries away the helpless girl, but that isn't all to this movie. This film has so much more, filled with messages that reflect the issues of Indian culture and tradition. Here we're presented with two characters whom both have their high lights and their flaws. The sensitive Simran who's always been an obedient daughter, starves for adventure, particularly to meet the love of her life. Then, we have the spoiled, obnoxious Raj who rarely ever takes life seriously - until he meets Simran. He's never really worked for anything in his life because of his privileged upbringing, so falling in love with Simran awakens a genuine desire to essentially prove his honor as a Hindustani. Although the love line might seem typical, you cannot duplicate or mimic the fiery chemistry between Shah Rukh and Kajol. I've not seen this movie once, twice, or thrice...but FOUR times, and I learn something new about the characters every time. The songs are wonderful, beautifully composed, the costumes and sets are breathtaking, and the cast is legendary. You can't miss this one.

the most beloved movie of all time for all bollywood flim lovers. the role played by srk is something very very impressing.I mean look at the way he use to give his role a sort of flavour and cherishment. The way shahrukh use to smile even during an emotional scene is something which makes him a legendary and unforgettable character. And ya who could forget the performance of our dearest dulhanyia Simran our Kajol. But i just want to say that the sis of Simran the little girl is an unsung actrees.

Ranks amongst the finest, well-directed fat-free love stories in the history of Indian mainstream cinema. Stellar performances from all actors puts DDLJ into the orbit. SRK & Kajol's once-in-a-lifetime histrionics makes it so memorable and worthwhile, & for everyone who watched must hv had been in awe of Amrish Puri who actually forms the crux of the script. The supporting cast helped immensely. Effortless & innocent, whosoever having a heart would always want to fall in love like Raj & Simran.
