About this movie

Return to the Deep...If You Dare! Years ago, the Aquatica Project used genetically altered sharks in hopes to develop a cutting-edge cure for Alzheimer’s disease. They came close to achieving their goal, but an unforeseen tragedy derailed the experiment. Now, pharmaceutical billionaire Carl Monroe is determined to revive the research of the undersea laboratory. With former Navy SEAL Trent Slater and scientists Daniel and Leslie Kim already on board, Monroe hopes to enlist shark conservationist Misty Calhoun to the team. But Calhoun is shocked to learn that the company is using unpredictable and highly aggressive bull sharks as its test subjects, the most lethal predator in the sea. Before long, the drug-enhanced sharks, led by den mother Bella, are growing smarter, quicker, and much, much deadlier. Brace yourself for unyielding suspense in this bloodthirsty return to the deep blue sea!

I think this might have been THE WORST movie I've ever seen. Absolutely terrible plot, copy cat of first movie; most acting pretty bad that actually made me laugh few times. I can't believe I paid for this - I wish I could get my money back. Please, do not buy / watch this movie unless you're an idiot like myself. Other reviewer calls this a "cheap knock off" of the first one - that sums it up perfectly.

Painful to watch. Felt like I had to just finish it since I paid for it. Im not one to write negative reviews. But I wish I had listened to the negative reviews on this movie because now I couldnt agree more and wish I hadn't spent the money. $5 wasted. Acting was super cheesy and mediocre. And plot which i wont spoil, was just silly stupid. I loved the first movie which is why I decided to give this one a chance. They could've done way better. What happened???

I had fun watching this honestly. The only problem I had which I won't spoil is the contingency plan is a plot hole. I did enjoy seeing the sharks get smart, one of which destroying the camera and the mini sharks. Part of the charm is rooting for the sharks and seeing people leave too late. At least the scene where the guy with his arm in the shark made more sense with context, shark was drugged and he needed to get a sample. Trailer made him look so damn stupid when the shark wakes up. Misty was very informative and brave too.
