Deep Blue Sea is has lower quality than Jaws: It's brainless, thin, and relatively unoriginal. The characters are very unlikable because they are not fleshed out, not to mention that the cast are making fools of themselves very often, and they have very little intelligence. The acting seems a bit flavorless and melodramatic. As far as the story goes, it has detailed elements that have borrowed from the elements of JAWS, has such dim-witted plotting involving the characters, and not to mention that the story is also so easy to digest, that it becomes disposable and forgettable. The sharks in this film are shortfin mako sharks, but the body physiques of these sharks are so bulky and larger, making them look far more like great white sharks. The effects of this film went from solid to weak and unconvincing. The dialogue has a bad tasting variety in the script, it can go from stupid, ridiculous, thin, and some of it is also a terrible fit for the genre of this film. The entertainment value has no flavor because the direction does what it has to do and we all know what's coming from scene to scene, making it predictable. Trevor Rabin's epic bombastic score is melodramatic, very aggressive, and is a perfect fit for the genre and culture of this movie, but it does not have much impact on the sadness within the score, due to the pacing that went a little too fast, which then becomes (you guessed it) forgettable. To conclude: Deep Blue Sea is a mindless and forgettable shark movie with similar elements from JAWS (1975) and a cheesy structure that is similar to Congo (1995). Skip It.

Ho Hum...starts out ok, then becomes a fish vs man, cat and mouse game. Oh...and a little strip down by Miss mad scientist thrown in for a little simi gratuitous nudity.

This movie is way better than Jaws. Jaws movie is so fake and unrealistic. Deep Blue Sea is a action packed movie with the best actors who know how to make a good movie. I loved this movie. I recommend this movie to people who like sharks and bloody action, drama, screaming movies. I like it so can you.❤🎬❤
