About this movie

Gregory Peck stars in this deeply moving, beautifully filmed retelling of the biblical story. Although he has killed Goliath and won countless battles, Israel's King David (Peck) cannot vanquish love! Smitten with the beautiful Bathsheba (Susan Hayward), David sends her husband into a hopeless battle, thus inviting the wrath of God, the ill will of his people and ruin for his country.

Having a difficult time with religion however I do truly believe that there is a creator who even if we cannot see it at the time is there to look down upon his creation and help us if we only ask. His prayer was moving! That is how I remember goodness in a movie of story telling. Today everything seems so wicked . So Evil, it is our choice whatever our religion to love one another and be there to love and forgive one another for not one of us could honestly throw the first stone!! If we humble ourselves I am sure all of could appreciate the prayer and message this movie delivered.
