Michael Clarke
Well acted, great sets, but shallow characters and thin plot. Also if you have an actress play a 25 years old's mother she should look more than 35 years old. The premise of the movie makes little rational sense, and a lot like the Hunger Games there is a lot of action and little substance. I gave it a three because it was OK but nothing special.

It was well acted, well directed, the cinematography was great, the stunts were great, visual effects were great so why was I so unconnected and bored. It just didnt feel authentic or relatable. The characters and the world they lived in felt flat. I don't know why.

A Canadian Girl
It isn't by any means as bad as say, any installments of the Twilight Saga, but I wish that this movie was just a little truer to the book in some scenes. I am hoping that when Allegiant comes out, it will be better than Insurgent. The only thing I really might have jumped for joy over in this is that there are no longer factions to separate everyone, and thanks to Evelyn, Jeanine Matthews is now forever out of the picture, even though the way that happened wasn't like it was written in the book either.
