Crush

I saw this for rent, and I wanted something fresh. I got exactly what I wanted out of this film. You always sort of knew that Bess wasn't really the crazy one, at least I did, but I wasn't expecting it to be who it was. Also, it was very David Lynch that all of the main female characters had VERY SIMILAR features; it got hard to tell the difference at times. The film had campy and "poppy" elements to it, such as the soundtrack. You also got the expected or unexpected happy ending, which was well done and not at all cliche. You actually got the ending you wanted, but got the satisfaction of a thriller too. I am reminded of Teaching Mrs. Tingle, The Scream films, and I Know What You Did Last Summer. This is very well written, you begin to empathize with each character, and every character develops in a unique way. I enjoyed the use of The Collector in the film, along with the other literary allusions and how they related to the plot and the development of each character. I was also reminded of Psycho, with the subtle, delicate way that everything unfolds, especially in the end, with the typical "psychotic person meets the shrink" ending, which worked very well. 5*!

I'm not one of those persons that always likes a "happy ending". But I really wanted one in this movie. I won't say what happened. (don't want to ruin it for others). This is a movie with a major twist. I was actually "Oh my god!". Because believe me the movie is going in a completely different direction till, 'THEN'. Please watch it. I felt for each of the characters and their dilemmas.

Just finished watching the movie . No words can describe how breath taken I am right now . The mystery is one layer, but the rest is unknown to me. So many cliffhangers,and gobsmaking scenes . I recommend to anyone . Even I started having an OTP in this movie ;)
