About this movie

Starring Ryan Reynolds (Green Lantern, The Proposal) and Oscar-winner Kevin Costner (Draft Day, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit), CRIMINAL follows a CIA operative (Reynolds), whose memories and skills are implanted into an unpredictable and dangerous death-row inmate (Costner) in a last-ditch effort to stop an international terrorist plot.

Directed by Ariel Vroman (The Iceman), CRIMINAL also stars upcoming Wonder Woman Gal Gadot (Fast and Furious 6), Oscar and BAFTA-winner Gary Oldman (Child 44, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Oscar-winner Tommy Lee Jones (The Homesman, Lincoln).

Generic, derivative and mindless action flick, with a surprisingly star-studded cast. A dangerous criminal is recruited against his wishes to help with a mission to save the world. Clearly inspired by "Face Off" and funnily enough by "Self/less" - another Ryan Reynolds action film released just a year before this.

Costner raises a three star movie up to a four.Oldman was doing it by the numbers and is a far better actor than this performance.It's really a TV movie with a better budget and some well known faces.It is worth renting but not a keeper.

Really enjoyed this film. Kevin Costner was superb, but have to say not enough Ryan Reynolds. Loved it nonetheless.
