Going into this movie you know what your going to get in a rocky movie. That doesn't matter because it still works, they do an excellent job and moving the rocky story foreword. It has every bit as passion and love as all of the other rocky movies, Creed 2 brings the whole Universe Full circle. Alot of people wanted this fight in the first creed but now that we finally got this fight. It lives up to all of the expectations. It even takes some one as bland as Ivan Drago and makes them into a sympathetic character both Dragos and not just the father. You know what they are fighting for and the movie does an excellent job and turning this cold war prequal and gives it a actual shine and polished story about two fighters fighting for what they believe in. Great buy I highly recommend you pick this up. If you haven't seen any previous rocky movies you will still enjoy this.

A drama with a Boxing backdrop. They spend time setting up the boxing opponent, but they rely a lot on Rocky 4 to fill in the gaps. I'm a huge fan of "show me don't tell me," and the movie does a good job of that, and you can get into the boxer's head by seeing his reactions, but I can't help but feel that he's just another "meat head" hurdle that Creed must surpass. Still, Creed II is rewarding and a worthy entry to the series.

As a person who has never seen any of the Rocky films or even the first Creed movie, this movie was fantastic. Despite the fact that I gave it 5 stars, it's not perfect. It does have a few flaws like the beginning of the movie was kinda slow. I also didn't really like Ivan Drago's son Viktor. I dunno, he just didn't do much for me. I can forgive these though, as the movie has great characters with great connections toward each other, great soundtrack and a heartwarming ending.
