Cowboys & Aliens

A dreadful waste of time, the mix of genre's didn't mesh and the script let the cast down badly. It was awkward to watch the movie unfold as it never really got to grips with what it wanted to be and ended up being a poorly constructed mess. Given the leads in the movie and the director I would have expected something better, however, the one viewing I had of this film proved more than enough for me. Not a movie that I would watch again as it was a poor excuse for a western and a drab excuse for a science fiction tale.

A great film and an impressive array of cast including Harrison ford and Daniel craig and both me and my friend adian botg agree that the aliens in the films are bio mechnaical suits similar to ibdependence day. Just look closley when their torso opens up and that alien gets burnt to death near the end to see what i mean.

I really enjoyed this film. Senseless escapism. Daniel Craig does his best impression of Clint Eastwood and there are some great action scenes. There seemed to be more than a nod to Stargate Atlantis to me as well. The aliens could easily have been the Wraith.
