At first, all I want to ask you guys is that how you all are holding up during these pandemic days; it’s a really very tough time for all of us. And I hope you are all doing just fine. Just stay at home and stay safe. That’s all I want to say to you in the beginning. Okay, so contagion was helmed by the Oscar-winner director Steven Soderbergh, and is a movie about a virus which spreads very rapidly, just like the current pandemic coronavirus. This movie correlates directly to the current danger. PLOT SUMMERY: The film begins with Gwyneth Paltrow’s character returning home in the US from Hong Kong, but also caring a never seen before illness. She dies instantly, her husband played by Matt Damon is in complete shock now and what follows next is a global outbreak of the disease caused by an airborne virus. It was so realistically made that you can relate most of its scenes to our current coronavirus situations. It has truly able to put a fear inside of you for this virus. And now this movie is climbing up on every single online platform and has become the second most watched movie in Warner Bros movie catalogue this year. The demand of the movie is gradually increasing day by day, reflecting how people are trying to learn something from it in order to survive the current pandemic. It shows many similarities with current situation including quarantines, empty streets, airport terminals and much more. Let’s move on to the acting now. ACTING: The movie stars Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow. As you can see, too many actors are in this movie and all them has done really good job, in portraying the feelings, in reflecting the feelings that you might have in this kind of situation. So, contagion is a must watch movie with you family right now, or watch it again if you already did. It is a really good movie to watch now. FACT: There is also a very interesting fact related to this movie. In the earlier interviews back in 2011, the director of this film Steven Soderbergh had spoken about his research for this movie which made it quite evident that an outbreak similar to this movie could happen sometime in the future. And now here we are. Seems like his prediction, really turned out to be a nightmare for all of us. However he has not spoken up anything about the recent spike in interest in his film.

Watched this movie years ago & recently because of COVID-19 brought some familiarity back... I see the same idiots yelling conspiracy theories & lost in a world they dont even know exists. As of today, one of the Weakest Contagions known to mankind is changing the face of the planet... simply because it CAN kill. This movie delivers on something most people cant even comprehend... yet are experiencing on the most ambiguous level. Great movie that exposes you to the truths with entertainment.

Just watched this today seeing as we going through something very similar and man... is this a similar movie. The infected and deaths are no where near to what we're experiencing today in 2020 with COVID-19, but it's not to downplay what can really happen. Now I'm no expert in proper procedures and how these pandemics are handled, but I feel like a lot of what we are hearing in the news today is almost spot on to what your see here in Contagion. Great movie! Great watch!
