About this movie

He's called Robosapien, a techno-wonder created by a nice-guy inventor (David Eigenberg of SEX AND THE CITY) to revolutionize global search-and-rescue missions. But when an evil industrialist plots to turn the robot into a search-and-destroy weapon, a badly damaged Robosapien (Jae Head of THE BLIND SIDE) is rescued by a shy young science whiz (Bobby Coleman of THE LAST SONG). Can this pint-sized humanoid, now re-named Cody, teach his new best friend about life, love, and family, or will Robosapien be forced into his most important mission of all? Penelope Ann Miller (THE ARTIST), Holliston Coleman (TV's MEDIUM), and Kim Coates (TV's SONS OF ANARCHY) co-star in this family adventure from the producer of IRON MAN, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, and BABY GENIUSES, and the director of SOUL SURFER.

This film was a nice homage to some of my favorite Sifi 80's movies as a child- boy befriends a displaced robot sanctioned by the government as a future weapon. Although there were some poorly edited chapters that needed less elaboration and a couple of plots that needed better development, I hardly minded since it was such a nostalgic experience for me. It should have earned a spot in theaters considering today's crappy flicks.

4-1/2★ Needed an ending not so… cliche. All the rest was just Grand Fun Viewing.
