CLIMAX depicts the unhinged madness that takes over a dance troupe’s party after a punchbowl of sangria is spiked with LSD. Beneath strobing lights and pounding music each dancer's psyche begins to crumble, and creeping paranoia gives rise to a hallucinatory nightmare. Legendary art-house provocateur Gaspar Noé (Love, Enter the Void) delivers an intensely deranged and lurid orgy of sex, drugs, and club music (featuring Cerrone, Daft Punk and Aphex Twin); taking us into the forbidden reaches of heaven and descending deep into hell.

One word "UNCOMFORTABLE". This film is memorising and a little hard to swallow. It's a slow burn that eventually develops dramatically in it's pace, tension and even it's dancing. For anyone who struggles sitting through those "art house'y" films try to hang in if you are after that "dose" of psychological horror.....pun intended, because it really does get there eventually. Even though the film lost my interest a couple of times I really have to commend it for it's stunning cinematography it literally turns heads..
