Unbelievable real life slums of Rio. Could not believe the children on the streets, selling drugs & guns. Life expectancy for a gang member must have 20 years old if there lucky.

I came across this on late night TV and stayed even later until the end, as I couldn't switch it off. I liked it so much I bought the DVD to watch it again. Given it's based on fact, enacted by real people from the crime infested 'City Of God' , this is both fascinating and confronting. It gets a bit repetitive and slow at times, but that's probably real life for these people. Stay with it all the way through, it's worth the trip.
