Sounds like a cliché. However in this case its true. If you can't do a Russian accent don't try. Also don't change the fundamentals of the story. The chase scene could have been a wonderful bit of cinema but they change the season and it becomes so lame its not real.

The ending is different to the book. I'm not sure why they changed it because it loses the soul of the story. The movie conveys the fear and paranoia of the stalin state really well but not the mind and motive of the killer (connected to the ending) but all told a lazy adaptation.

Think maybe it's a remake of a film with Stephen Reah?. If so not as good. Can't hear it ptoperly (accents), can't see most of it (far too dark).
