About this movie

Take an unforgettable, uniquely magical journey through director Tim Burton's deliciously delightful, whimsically wonderful world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. When eccentric candy man Willy Wonka promises a lifetime supply of sweets and a tour of his chocolate factory to five lucky kids, penniless Charlie Bucket seeks the priceless golden ticket that will make him a winner. Thanks to his Grandpa Joe, Charlie gets the prize of his dreams! But a far more wonderful surprise than Charlie ever imagined awaits him. In a land of chocolate waterfalls, giant lollipops, edible flowers and, of course, Oompa Loompas, it's nonstop, mouth-watering fun in the timeless fantasy Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Based on the children's classic by Roald Dahl.

Rubbish film and it totally ruins the original and it's absolutely the most appalling and it's just a bunch of incomprehensible gibberish!!! Plus Depp playing as Mr Wonka is one of the most ugly, recalcitrant and most hateful imbeciles I've ever seen This film is a stupid reboot!!! Watch the original because Gene Wilder is the genius

For those that have seen and loved the Gene Wilder film from the 70s this is totally different. This is much closer to the original classic from Roald Dahl and includes a lot more details from the original book such as Charlie's dad working in toothpaste factory. I love Johnny Depp in this, I think he plays the character spot on compared to the book. I recommend you read the book before watching this as you will appreciate it more.

Don't waste your time with this junk. It ruined Roald Dahl's story and the original Gene wilder film. People who rate this as 5 stars have obviously not seen the 1970's original and let's face it, better one.
