About this movie

Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Fans of Captain America and Avengers aren't interested in seeing the motivations behind the masks and how humanity would really feel with superheroes among them. As a result, the film suffered a bit by trying to do or be something it's really not strong enough to handle. Go see Watchmen if you hunger for what Civil War promised, but doesn't quite deliver.

The worst marvel movie thus far...and I love marvel movies. Very very disappointed. Just reinforces my pure dislike of captain america, without question the lamest character, personality of a handbag and as interesting as a table. I was really cheering for Ironman to crush his boring wordhole. Only saving grace was the only decent fight scene and humour in the whole movie...thank god for antman and spiderman. If only I could get a refund....

I understand the decision to explore the reasons why the heroes do what they do, but it's not why I watch this genre of movie. Tony Stark as a character works best when he is a cocky and brilliant mind that also provides a comedic edge. This provided the X factor to previous movies he was in, and is missing in this one. Turning the heroes against each other could work if they really had convinced the audience why they were on each side, but I found the passions for their arguments a little weak. Also there was a lot of jumping around between locations that made it harder to follow, when I was looking for a simple action superhero movie. Apologies to the people who put so much effort into making the movie, considering my rating, but for me it was a disappointing result.
