About this movie

A ruthless businessman and bootlegger who ruled Chicago with an iron fist, Al "Fonzo" Capone (Tom Hardy) was the most infamous and feared gangster of American lore. At the age of 47, following nearly a decade of imprisonment, dementia rots Capone's mind and his past becomes present as harrowing memories of his violent and brutal origins melt into his waking life.

Al Capone is rolling over in the grave over this total horrific POS. This film was so horrible, it made me really wonder how one could actually greenlight a project with such a weak and uninteresting plot. It's basically like a nightmare on elm street on LSD, in the mind of a man who was once a gangster but now has the diminished capacity of a 6 year old (at best). His neurosyphilis ate away at his brain over years and this story is basically a delusion in his own mind. No historical truth or significance. I only watched because I'm usually a big fan of Tom Hardy. But he was incoherent throughout the entire movie and quite frankly if he wasn't attached to the project, this wouldn't even have gone straight to DVD. Tom Hardy did try, but it was a catastrophe of a story from the first minute to the credit reel.

I'm sorry to do it Mr. Hardy. But this is the WORST of your movies. I blame the writers and directors. A waste of a stellar cast. They could of went in a completely different way with it. I honestly had and have no idea what was going on. I get the play on Capone's diminishing mental state, but there was NO storyline what so ever. If you didn't know it was about Al Capone, you would never know.

you can tell that this movie would have been a masterpiece if it covered his life from beginning to end, so based this movie i was recommend Tom Hardy again and in a biopic, I was great acting but to a younger audience, we want to see a life story, I would bring back the entire cast along with Martin Scorsese as the director. I give three stars because it didn't give the audience satisfaction of potential this movie has, it's like you had Rolls Royce but didn't see the potential, too many holes in the story.
