About this movie

Zain slijt zijn dagen in de straten van de Libanese hoofdstad Beiroet. Als oudste kind van het gezin moet hij helpen zijn familie te onderhouden. Wanneer zijn zusje wordt uitgehuwelijkt aan de eigenaar van de buurtwinkel, besluit Zain weg te lopen van huis. Dit leidt tot een ongelooflijke roadtrip, met nieuwe vriendschappen en allesbeslissende keuzes.

It's one of those movies that should be made a mandatory watch in schools. It's as funny and cute as it is heartbreaking and gruesome. One of the best and most beautiful freighttrains I've ever had the honor of running into with open arms <3

Geweldig gespeeld, ontwapenend mooi geacteerd. Geen acteurs maar gewone mensen van de straat. Deze film houd mij in de greep. Onvergetelijk! Wat een indruk heeft dit op kok gemaakt.

This movie is incredibly beautiful. It made me cry just as much as it made me laugh. It is a violent punch into the reality of poverty, child marriage and the lives of African fugitives. Not for the faint of heart.
