Call Me by Your Name

I haven't seen it & don't plan to. The subject matter doesn't interest me. And I found it in bad taste to release it smack dab in the middle of the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Almost like a, 'Yeah we don't give a damn.' Some may say perhaps an unfair judgement of what might be a good movie (according to reviews here), but people don't seem to realize (or choose to ignore) the fact that the world is aplenty of men looking for younger boys. Pedophilia is a global epidemic, a sickening underground web that reaches into places & heights that would knock the socks off your grandma. So no, I don't support things or people with skewered principles.

this movie is a waste of time. If you remove the stunning visuals, you'd see what the movie really is; garbage. Not only was this film incredibly boring, but it also had no character development and a poor plot. the romance between the two mcs is also bad. the two only exist for the purpose of falling in love with each other, I never rooted for them. this film also romanticized pedophila. elio is 17, oliver is a grown man. CMBYN is a pathetic attempt at a LGBTQ+ movie. don't reccomend.

I wanted to like it, but it left me filling sick. If my son/daughter was seduced by an older man while staying as a guest in my home, it would come to a violent end. If you can get past that and can stomach gay sex scenes then you will probably enjoy this movie. I was most disgusted by the boy's father admiring his son's homosexual encounter.
