Ok, I'm going to be upfront and say that this plot made me extremely uncomfortable. I find nothing romantic or 'awakening' in a teenagers obsession with an older man. I realise a lot of people love it but it just made me feel gross.

What's the age of consent in California again? 18! Then there is the age gap belying a power dynamic and possible exploitation. But it's art... right?
