This movie has a cast that seems great on paper, but put together just doesn't work. I realize its a classic but the musical numbers seems pieced together and not cohesive. Dick Van Dyke seems to be the best casting but the others didn't flow. Ann-Margret's singing seems forced and almost feels like shes going to damage her voice. Growing up i watched this movie and sat through it not thinking anything was wrong but now, I just don't like it.

(Film is in Color) Bye Bye Birdie is just your run of the mill musical with its typical suicide attempts, uppers, slipping someone a micky, and banger musical numbers/choreography. Dick Van Dyke and the rest of the main cast are super talented and simply bring it in this film. Highly recommended (even if some of the film is not exactly 2020 appropriate).

I was watching this in my class and some of the words sounded inappropriate but my teacher explained them to us. We laughed whenever it said rubbers
